PEABODY – The North Shore Chamber of Commerce will hold the third annual THRIVE Summit on June 18 to commend women in business in the Boston area. The Summit will be held at the Boston Marriott, in Peabody, from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

THRIVE is a Chamber initiative with the vocation to empower women leaders in the business sphere.

“Educate, Elevate and Empower”–three catchy “E”s–is the motto steering their activities.

Susan MacKenty Brady, founding CEO of The Simmons University Institute for Inclusive Leadership, will give the first address.

Brady has written four books dedicated to women navigating business. Her LinkedIn statement reads: “I dive deep into the power of leadership, relationships, self-awareness, respect, and accountability–the essential elements that ignite change.”

She will be succeeded by Amy Latimer, longtime president of Boston’s TD Garden, who now runs operations for Delaware North’s global hospital business, will present the luncheon address: “Leadership: Stepping Up to the Challenge.”

Latimer has been named “WISE Woman of the Year” in 2015 and “Boston Business Power Player” in 2017 by Boston Magazine. Under her leadership, TD Garden was ranked among The Boston Globe’s “Top 100 women-led businesses in Boston.”

The Summit will include a marketplace with representatives from women-owned North Shore businesses featuring their products and services.
