BOSTON – On June 12, Latasha Anderson, of Lynn, was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Denise J. Casper to 20 months in prison, to be followed by five years of supervised release, for coercing two victims to engage in prostitution.
She and her two co-defendants, Jermall Anderson and Jennifer Fortier, were indicted by a federal grand jury in August 2023, charged with interstate sex trafficking.
From 2012 to 2016, and under the direction of Jermall Anderson, the three conspirators forced two victims, through the giving and withholding of heroin and cocaine, into prostituting themselves on their behalf.
Victims were targeted for their vulnerability; they both struggled with drug addiction, homelessness and lack of economic resources. They were coerced into providing commercial sex for the defendants’ benefit throughout New England, New Jersey and New York.
In March 2025, Jermall Anderson was sentenced to 15 years in prison, to be followed by five years of supervised release. That same month, Fortier was sentenced to 58 months in prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release.
