LYNN — The sights, sounds, and thrills of the carnival are coming to town this summer as Fiesta Shows brings its carnival to Lynn through June 22. The events feature more than a dozen rides, games, and classic carnival food for families to enjoy.
The carnival will be open June 20 from 6 p.m. – Close and June 21-22, 1 p.m. – Close. Close refers to when the carnival shuts down for the night. Closing times are subject to change without notice.
“Some of the rides are very scary,” said 7-year-old Esmeralda, who braved the Twister ride with a mix of terror and excitement. Her new friend, 6-year-old Serenity, agreed, calling it “really fun — but never again!”
The two girls met at the carnival, quickly bonded, and spent the day riding attractions together. Their parents, watching nearby, remarked how special it was to see their daughters make new friends while enjoying the festivities. “They met at the jumpy house,” said Jessica Pomales, Serenity’s mom. “Now they’ve been riding everything together.”
Families appreciated the value of the wristband promotion, which allows for unlimited rides for one price. “Wristbands are definitely worth it,” Pomales said. “I kept adding money to the card before, but this deal is better — the only thing I wish is that we had more notice. We only found out about the carnival two days ago.”
Unlimited ride wristbands will be available during discount ride promotion days, offering visitors the chance to ride as much as they like for one price. Guests are encouraged to take full advantage of the opportunity to make lasting memories with their loved ones, read Fiesta Shows’ website.
Kayley Hernandez said her favorite part of the day was “the games — everything!” She proudly shared that she had already won several prizes.
Some carnival-goers were repeat visitors, like one local teen who said he comes every year. “The Freak Out is my favorite,” he said. “I love that rush.”
Another attendee, Ezra Rosario, didn’t hesitate when asked about his top pick: “The Zipper. It spins, it goes backwards — I love the thrill of it.”
As Pomales put it simply, “This is a fun place. That’s what matters — that the kids are having fun.”
To ensure a safe and enjoyable environment, the carnival will enforce a policy for minors.
According to Fiesta Shows’ website, Children ages 13 to 17 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or adult chaperone (21+) at all times. Each adult may chaperone up to 4 minors. Groups larger than four minors will need additional adult chaperones. Proof of age may be required. Acceptable forms of ID include a driver’s license, state ID, passport, visa, or military ID. Adults must stay at the event with the minors in their care. Non-compliance will result in denial of entry or ejection from the event — no refunds will be given in such cases.
