Fireworks

Reports of fireworks at 3:15 a.m. Sunday on Sheldon Street, 8:47 p.m. on Floyd Avenue, and 9:23 p.m. on River Street.

Larceny

A report of larceny at 3:06 a.m. Sunday on Friend Street and 8:43 a.m. on Green Street.

Suspicious Activities

Reports of suspicious activities at 12:19 a.m. Sunday on Eastern Avenue, 7:05 p.m. on Western Avenue, and 11:20 p.m. on Walnut Street.

Unwanted Guest

A report of an unwanted guest at 2:50 a.m. Sunday on Allen Avenue.

MARBLEHEAD

Disturbances

On Sunday, disturbances were reported at 12:34 a.m. on Maple Street and at 12:58 a.m. near Broughton Road. Officers responded, and services were rendered in both instances.

Property Checks

On Sunday, Property checks were conducted at 12:47 a.m. and 12:48 a.m. on Ocean Avenue, 1:40 a.m. on Pleasant Street, 10:16 a.m. on Community Road, 10:20 a.m. on Atlantic Avenue, 12:05 p.m. on Atlantic Avenue, 12:05 p.m. on Community Road, 5:58 p.m. on Atlantic Avenue, 5:59 p.m. on Community Road, and 10:01 p.m. on Lighthouse Lane. All property checks resulted in services rendered or no action required.

Motor Vehicle Crashes

On Sunday, motor vehicle crashes were reported at 8:28 a.m. on School Street and Pleasant Street, 8:51 a.m. on Atlantic Avenue, 12:36 p.m. on Seaview Avenue, 4:47 p.m. on Cliff Street, and 9:58 p.m. on Broughton Road. Officers responded, and reports were taken in all cases.

Motor Vehicle Complaints

On Sunday, a motor vehicle complaint was reported at 11:03 a.m. on Pleasant Street. Officers responded, and services were rendered.

911 Hang-Ups

On Sunday, 911 hang-ups were reported at 11:45 a.m. on Pleasant Street, at 1:48 p.m. on Auburndale Road, and at 10:46 p.m. on Dennett Road. Services were rendered or the calls were investigated.

Alarms

On Sunday, burglar alarms were reported at 12:09 p.m. on Gerald Road, at 5:08 p.m. on Widger Road, and at 5:56 p.m. on Village Street. Services were rendered, and the alarms at Widger Road and Village Street were determined to be false.

Lost/Found Property

Lost or found property was reported at 10:28 a.m. on Sunday on Robert Road, at 1:00 p.m. on Atlantic Avenue, at 5:28 p.m. on Seaview Avenue, and at 5:29 p.m. on Community Road. Services were rendered in all cases.

General Information

General information was logged at 5:50 p.m. on Sunday on Hillcrest Road. No action was required.

General Complaints

General complaints were reported at 6:44 p.m. on Sunday on Tedesco Street and at 8:31 p.m. on Camille Terrace. Services were rendered, and a report was taken in the second case.

Details

Police details were conducted at 7:50 p.m. on Sunday on Washington Street.

Be On the Lookout

A “Be on the Lookout” was issued at 3:26 a.m. on Sunday for a 2018 BMW near Margin Street. Officers responded but could not locate the vehicle.

SAUGUS

Arrest

Wilter Leand Cruz, of Bowler Street, was arrested at 8:22 p.m. for charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and a default warrant dock.

Alarm

A report of a burglar alarm at 11:20 a.m. Sunday at Eastern Bank on Lincoln Avenue. Canceled prior to arrival; a report at 10:10 p.m. on Virginia Terrace. Building appears to be secure.

Bylaw Violation

A report of a bylaw violation at 5:%3 p.m. Sunday on Vine Street at Highland Avenue. Caller reported that there had been a construction vehicle that was dumping water into the brook at the corner of Highland and Vine. There was a misunderstanding of the address. Officers reported that the party was draining water, not dumping it. Services rendered.

Disturbance

A report of a disturbance at 7:28 p.m. Sunday at CVS Pharmacy on Broadway. Caller reported there was some sort of altercation going on between two cars. No police service necessary.

Motor Vehicles

A report of a motor vehicle accident at 1:10 a.m. Sunday on Lincoln Avenue. Caller reported a vehicle had crashed into a pole. Vehicle towed; a report at 1:50 p.m. on Rice Street Caller reported a single-car accident vs. a tree. Removed to hospital; a report at 9:52 p.m. at U-Haul on Broadway. Caller reported seeing a vehicle crash and roll over. Referred to other agency.
A report of a motor vehicle stop at 6:34 p.m. Sunday on Walnut Street at Great Woods Road. Verbal warning; a report at 8:46 p.m. at Guys Liquor on Main Street. Citation warning; a report at 9:22 p.m. at UPS Warehouse on the Salem Turnpike. Arrest of a 17-and-over male.

A report of a suspicious motor vehicle at 10:44 p.m. Sunday on Curtis Road. Caller reported that there was a camo green truck that was driving erratically down Curtis.

Noise Complaint

A report of a noise complaint at 4:23 a.m. Sunday at the Square One Mall on Broadway. Over 15 callers reported a large gathering and noise in the mall parking lot area. Loud music, tires screeching, and fireworks were reported. Dispersed gathering; a report at 3:03 p.m. on Sterling Avenue. Caller reported loud music. Peace restored.

Mutual Aid Fire

A report of mutual aid at 12:07 a.m. Sunday on Main Street. Melrose Fire requested mutual aid response to their headquarters.

Unwanted Party

A report of an unwanted party at 11:32 a.m. Sunday on Essex Street. Caller reported an unknown male showering in the back of his building. Services rendered.
