LYNNFIELD

Alarms

At 1:21 a.m. on Friday, officers responded to a burglar alarm activation at a commercial property on Essex Street. The alarm had been triggered by both the right and left gym doors. Officers conducted a thorough check of the building with the janitor on site and confirmed it was secure. The alarm was deemed accidental or defective.

Motor Vehicles

Motor vehicle enforcement was steady throughout town on Friday. At 6:23 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Essex Street involving a gray Honda CR-V, and the driver was issued a warning. During the evening, at 8:31 p.m., officers responded to a disabled vehicle at a traffic light; AAA was already en route and took over assistance. At 8:38 p.m., a selective traffic enforcement patrol was carried out near 100 Walnut Street and Market Street, with no violations observed. Shortly after, at 8:52 p.m., officers initiated a stop on Main Street that led to a summons being issued to Dionilio Alves Pereira, 25, of Franklin Street in Woburn, for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and operating with a broken headlight. Throughout Friday, additional selective enforcement patrols were also conducted on Walnut Street, Thomas Road, and Salem Street to ensure roadway safety.

Officer Assistance

At 8:54 p.m. on Friday, officers responded to a call from Thomas Road regarding door-to-door solicitors. Officers located the individuals and informed them that solicitation activities must cease for the night unless properly permitted by the town. They were advised of the necessary steps to obtain a valid solicitation permit in the future.

Property Checks

On Friday, routine property checks were performed at multiple locations including King Rail Drive, Oak Street, Salem Street, and Ross Drive. All properties were found secure during these checks, and no action was necessary.

Suspicious Activity

At 8:31 p.m. on Friday, officers were dispatched to Todd Lane for a report of a suspicious male going door to door. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the individual in question.

Traffic Incidents

Later in the evening on Friday, at 11:17 p.m., officers responded to a hit-and-run accident at the intersection of Salem Street and Walnut Street. The incident was documented under case number 25-71-AC. The involved vehicle, a white 2016 Volkswagen Jetta, was located, and details were collected for further investigation.

Reports of area checks at 9:54 a.m. on Paradise Road, 1:11 p.m. on Magnolia Road, 8:32 p.m. on Burrill Street, 9:27 p.m. on Atlantic Avenue, 9:51 p.m. on Essex Street, 10:09 p.m. on Capen Road, 10:17 p.m. on Monument Avenue, 10:31 p.m. on Whitman Road, 10:48 p.m. on Doherty Circle.

Larceny

Reports of larceny at 1:09 p.m. Saturday on Fairview Avenue.

Motor Vehicles

Reports of motor vehicle stops at 1:15 a.m. Saturday on Ellis Road and Paradise Road, 1:32 a.m. on Humphrey Street, 7:19 a.m. on Atlantic Avenue, 11:40 a.m. on Burrill Street, 7:45 p.m. on Humphrey Street and Manton Road; reports of motor vehicle accidents at 4:55 a.m. on Paradise Road, 11:51 a.m. on Burpee Road, 3:39 p.m. on Paradise Road.

Traffic Enforcement Posts

Reports of traffic enforcement posts at 6:36 p.m. Saturday on Salem Street and Stanley Road, 7:37 p.m. on Atlantic Avenue and Humphrey Street.
