Lynn’s Aiven Cabral, a St. Mary’s graduate (’22), was drafted by the Atlanta Braves (Round 18, No. 547) during Monday’s MLB Draft. While playing for Northeastern this past spring, Cabral pitched 89 1/3 innings and recorded 74 strikeouts with a 2.92 ERA and 10 wins. Cabral played four seasons at St. Mary’s and is a former Catholic Central League Pitcher of the Year and Item Player of the Year. (Brandon Poli - Northeastern)
