LYNN — Call them the best of the best.
With clear skies and hot sun, the Gannon Municipal Golf Course men’s and women’s innerclubs held their annual club championship matches.
This year’s men’s format was a four-day, stroke-play event featuring three flights.
Pat McHale prevailed as net flight champion with a total score of 277, holding off runner-up Tony Rigol (281) and third-place Andrew Kraemer (285).
As for the senior flight, Mike Sullivan came in first place to capture his second title since 2020 with a score of 310, holding off Jeff Nardone (317) and Ray Dyer (322).
And in the main flight, Sean Winchell won his second club championship since his first in 2022. Winchell delivered a four-day score of 293. Not far behind, in a very exciting finish on the back nine, were Travis Ryan (295) and Mike Mondello (295), who finished just two shots behind Winchell.
The Gannon Ladies crowned their champions as well, with Mary Hunt winning her 12th club title with a three-day, medal-play total gross score of 249. Hunt prevailed against Gina Manning (253) and Ann Dawson (259).
Manning won the senior club championship, while Patty Roberts won the net club championship with a three-day total score of 216.
