To the editor:
Many Republicans are tripping over each other to get out of town to avoid casting a bipartisan vote to open files that could be detrimental to Donald Trump and many other wealthy, privileged individuals.
Itβs hard to believe how the leadership in this U.S. Congress is behaving β talk about an incompetent, cowardly, corrupt bench of morons.
Thereβs nothing to see here, folks. Just move along.
Most of them β with a few good exceptions β continue to support a man who claims heβs never lied or done anything wrong, and who blames everything on other former presidents. He only wants to be loved and worshiped.
When confronted with tough questions, the only verbiage in his vocabulary includes: βhoax,β βwitch hunt,β βfake news,β βDemocratic conspiracy,β βstupid,β and βI never did itβ β just to name a few.
Trump recently traveled to Scotland to open two new golf courses. That must be more important β making sure the greens are in good shape.
He nominated a person to the federal court who, when asked to comment, had on many occasions used the phrase β(expletive) the courts.β Under oath, the nominee denied ever saying it β despite emails showing he did.
This administration will go down in history as the most corrupt bunch of morons, only interested in themselves. Just look at that big, beautiful bill. Shame on all of you.
When someone is a pathological liar, I believe they truly think itβs the truth.
Trumpβs base is starting to implode. Many of his once-loyal supporters have drawn a line and no longer want any part of whatβs being alleged daily on every local and national news station.
Many times, the truth hurts. But we are a forgiving country. Case in point: Nixon and Clinton administrations. People make mistakes β some serious, some embarrassing. Own up to them, so the country can move on.
We donβt want to be remembered as the country other leaders call the dumbest, most foolish bunch of malcontents.
We can only hope things change for the better.
Tick tock.
