LYNN — Boston Career Institute (BCI), a health career education institute, has opened its newest campus at 152 Lynnway in the Seaport Landing building.

The new Lynn campus is BCI’s fourth location, while its other campuses include Brookline, Malden, and Lowell. The new location is within walking distance of the Commuter Rail, multiple bus routes, and the Lynn Ferry.

BCI Operations Manager Jennifer McGrane said while many Lynn residents are enrolled in BCI programs, they previously typically commuted to the Malden campus. The accessibility of the new Lynn campus makes it “easier for Lynn residents to train close to home and give back to their community,” McGrane said.

“By expanding into Lynn, BCI aims to improve access to professional healthcare training and prepare students for stable, in-demand careers. The launch of the Lynn campus represents a key milestone in BCI’s mission to provide high-quality, accessible healthcare education and expand opportunities for individuals pursuing careers in allied health,” a press release for BCI reads.

The Lynn campus offers hands-on programs in medical assisting, phlebotomy, dental assisting, and more. Most programs are typically completed in 16-28 weeks on average.

“This means incoming students at our new Lynn location can feel confident they’re receiving affordable, high-quality training designed to help them reach their potential and secure employment in their field in the shortest time possible,” BCI Co-Founder and Director of Education Steve Yanovsky said in a statement.

Yanovsky emphasized how Lynn will benefit from BCI’s approach to affordable, career-based, licensing-driven education that gives students essential skills and credentials.

“When someone has one good paying job, this enhances their wellbeing, and therefore the wellbeing of their families and community,” he said.

BCI is currently looking forward to welcoming hundreds of new students and hiring new staff to its Lynn location. New classes begin every few weeks.
