PEABODY — Former New England Patriots quarterback and two-time Super Bowl champion Jim Plunkett will join Peabody’s Gary Leavitt on his radio show Tuesday night, Aug. 19, on 95.9 WATD.
Plunkett, who won both titles with the Oakland Raiders, is considered by many to be one of the most deserving players not yet inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Leavitt and Friends are launching a campaign to change that.
Also appearing Tuesday is Bay Area band Alex Lucero, whose modern folk/blues sound has steadily grown in popularity over the past decade.
Leavitt, a Peabody native, was recently honored for the fifth straight year as host of New England’s most entertaining radio show. Looking ahead, original Catwoman Julie Newmar is expected to appear around Labor Day.
