LYNN — Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home is hosting its semi-annual First Responders Community Cookout on Friday, Aug. 22.
The event is a chance for Lynn’s last responders to honor first responders in the city. Cuffe-McGinn Funeral home consulted with the Lynn Police Department and the Lynn Fire Department to coordinate the cookout.
“It’s a way to give back to the community and say thank you to people who are putting their lives at risk, and what better way to do it than with food?” Cuffe McGinn Funeral Home Director John Kobuszewski told The Daily Item.
Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home manager Eric Daniels will be at the grill during the event. Although the cookout is meant to honor Lynn first responders, it is open to the public.
The First Responders Community Cookout will be held at 165 Maple St. at 11:30 a.m.
