Lynn Classical’s volleyball team (2-1) took down Lynn Tech (2-1) in four sets Friday night, capturing its fourth city championship in five years. Lynn English and St. Mary’s were knocked out in round one.
“Tonight was a tremendous win for our girls. Tech competed and played hard all night. They forced our girls to play their best. We played a great team game tonight and got contributions from everyone on the floor,” said Classical coach Chris LeBlanc. “After stumbling a little Tuesday night, the girls really responded the last two nights and left no doubt as to who the best volleyball team in Lynn is.”
Leading the Lady Rams was tournament MVP Brooke Braswell (14 kills, 13 aces, 8 digs, 3 blocks), as well as Emma Chevalier (18 assists, 4 aces, 9 digs), Meredith Kennedy (9 kills, dig), and Sejla Iriskic (14 digs).
