Bishop Stang’s field hockey team traveled to Manning Field on Saturday to face St. Mary’s. Despite the one-goal margin, it was the Spartans who came away with a 1-0 victory.
Ava Korisianos scored to help St. Mary’s improve to 4-0-1. Goalkeeper Tabby Lopes extended her shutout streak to five games and has yet to allow a goal this season.
The Spartans will look for their fifth win on Monday when they host Bishop Feehan at 5:45 p.m.

The Eagles traveled to Franklin and returned home with the win. Striker Garrison Murphy scored in both halves to lead St. John’s Prep.
Joe DeCesare, Ryan King and JJ Koulalis also “put in strong performances,” according to Eagles head coach Dave Crowell.

Marblehead hit a bump in the road on Saturday when it traveled north to Andover. The Magicians will look to bounce back Monday when they visit Beverly at 4 p.m.
