The Lynn English golf team (4-1-1) defended Gannon Municipal Golf Course Tuesday with a 62-10 win against Everett.
Kyle Furlong (9-0), Joseph Plourde (9-0), Isabella OK (7-2), Johan Plaza (9-0), and Benjamin Sang (8-1) delivered strong showings.
Next for coach Brett Molea and his Bulldogs is traditional archrival Lynn Classical Thursday at 4 p.m.

No home field, no problem for the Rams (2-2-1), who left Somerville with a shutout win. Goals were scored by Edison Chacón and Jose Zepeda. Assists were dished out by Alan Melara and Chacón.

The Prep (4-0-2) earned a hard-fought tie in enemy territory. Garrison Murphy scored a header after a Ryan King corner kick. James Minor and Ryan Levis played well for the Eagles, according to coach Dave Crowell.

Layla Dulac ripped two goals for the Magicians, who were hunted down by the visiting Panthers.
“Our defensive line played their hearts out tonight,” said Marblehead coach Ali Carey. “Meggie Grenier, Paige Waldman, and Kate Andriano, in particular, kept the pressure on and were key for communication in our backfield.”

Lila Girard scored Swampscott’s goal and Lilah Caplan stopped four shots, but the efforts weren’t enough to take down Gloucester.

Behind a versatile offensive attack, Fenwick took care of its opposition with ease. Sarah Bannister (save) and Ginny Cahill split goaltending duties.

Despite a five-set loss to the Spartans, Tech coach Kaitlyn Wechsler said it was a “fight the entire match.” Her Tigers fell to 4-2 despite strong performances from Zahara Belizaire (19 assists, 7 digs, 5 kills), Lia Morales (17 digs, 5 aces, 4 assists), Katie Tartarini (7 digs, 6 kills, ace), Mahlyna Williams (9 digs), Niya Bingham (8 kills), Azya Castro (6 kills), Isabella Walcott (5 digs), and Kayla Rivera (5 digs).
CROSS COUNTRY
The Bishop Fenwick girls outran St. Mary’s (24-31 final) and Cardinal Spellman (15-50) on their home course in Peabody. Leading the Lady Crusaders were Marianna Kay and Adelaide Sweatman. Also contributing were Olivia Rowe, Julia Davis, and Caroline Blatchford. On the boys’ side, Sam Appleyard (17:41) led Fenwick in his team’s wins against St. Mary’s (24-32) and Spellman (24-35). Deven Dion, Doron Appleyard, John Reilly, and Chris Kay – returning from surgery – also ran well. Both Fenwick teams return for Saturday’s Frank Kelley Invitational at the Wrentham Developmental Center.
As for St. John’s Prep, the team was taken down, 19-36, by BC High at Franklin Park (5K) in Boston. Top finishers for The Prep were Jack McIntosh (16:49), Leo Seltenrich (16:59), Liam Mahoney (17:02), Hunter Opal (17:12), and Liam Callahan (17:15).
