To the editor:
I am writing to encourage voters to vote for Tristan Smith for the School Committee on Nov. 4. Tristan will bring transformative thinking, dynamic leadership, and a new perspective to the Lynn School Committee that will make a lasting positive impact on the students of Lynn Public Schools.
I have known Tristan for many years. We first met working together at Tides Restaurant in Nahant. Tristan was a server and bartender and was promoted to manager during my time there. Working directly with Tristan, I know he is a capable, dedicated, and professional individual who knows how to work with people and listen to their concerns. He is a proactive problem solver.
Now, as a close friend of Tristan’s, I see his dedication daily to the youth of the city of Lynn. His work teaching, coaching, and mentoring youth sets him apart, all with a heart full of giving back to the community that means so much to him.
As a Lynn Public Schools graduate, I know that Tristan is the type of person we need to move our schools forward. Please vote for Tristan Smith on Nov. 4.
