Both the Swampscott and St. Mary’s girls soccer teams suffered defeats Monday evening.
The Big Blue faced Danvers on the road, where they fell 4-2. The Falcons led 2-1 at halftime. Although Swampscott added a second goal in the second half, it wasn’t enough as Danvers doubled its halftime lead.
Greta Siefken scored both goals for Swampscott, while Jane Raymond recorded an assist.
For Danvers, freshman Rylee Sullivan scored a goal and provided two assists to lead the Falcons. DeAnna Figueiredo, Addi McCarty and Kaia Glover also scored for Danvers.

The Spartans hosted Cardinal Spellman (10-2-2) at Manning Field, but the Cardinals left with a 5-1 win. Sophie Skabeikis was the lone goal scorer for St. Mary’s as she continues her strong form in front of the net. The Spartans fell to 7-4-2.
