LYNN

Arrests

Christopher Welch, 38, of Willow Street, was arrested at 4:15 a.m. Sunday for charges of break and entry at night for a felony, destruction of property (+$1,200), larceny under $1,200, possession of a burglarious instrument, break and entry for a misdemeanor, and destruction of property (-$1,200). Welch was issued two straight warrants.

Selvin Chun-Ovalle, 24, of Chatham Street, was arrested at 8:21 p.m. Sunday for charges of no inspection/sticker, an open container of alcohol, unregistered motor vehicle, and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. 

Disturbances

Reports of disturbances at 12:34 a.m. Sunday on Huss Court, 3:55 a.m. on High Street and Liberty Street, 1:27 p.m. at McDonalds on Boston Street, 8:29 p.m. on Washington Street, 8:31 p.m. on Washington Street, and 9:53 p.m. at Estefani’s Restaurant on Union Street. 

Hazardous Conditions

Reports of hazardous conditions at 1:01 a.m. Sunday on South Common Street, 8:52 a.m. on Chatham Street, and 9:46 a.m. on Dearborn Avenue. 

Injured Cop

Reports of injured cops at 6:36 a.m. Sunday on Washington Street and 1:17 p.m. on Washington Street.

Larceny

A report of larceny at 3:25 p.m. Sunday on Western Avenue. 

Motor Vehicles

Reports of motor vehicle accidents at 12:37 a.m. Sunday on Lander Street, 1 a.m. on Boston Street, 6:47 a.m. on Essex Street, 7 a.m. on Essex Street and Shaws Court, 8:54 a.m. on Franklin Street, 8:58 a.m. on Franklin Street and Laighton Street, 10:36 a.m. on Boston Street, and 1:47 p.m. on Market Square. 

Noise

Reports of noise at 12 a.m. Sunday on Hamilton Street, 12:05 a.m. on Washington Street, 12:15 a.m. on Houghton Street, 3:12 a.m. on Tracy Avenue, 4:09 a.m. on Boynton Street, 3:41 p.m. on Fellsmere Street, 3:41 p.m. on Franklin Street, 5:43 p.m. on Fellsmere Street, 11:08 p.m. on Hollingsworth Street, and 11:18 p.m. on Broadway. 

Trespassing

Reports of trespassing at 12:45 a.m. on Broad Street, 5:25 a.m. on Union Street, 6:12 p.m. at Burger King on Boston Street, and 9:53 p.m. at Ford Elementary on Hollingsworth Street. 

 

SAUGUS

Break and Entry/Burglary

A report of break and entry/burglary at 2:19 p.m. Sunday on Essex Street. Caller reported coming home and locating a man in a black shirt, gray sweatpants, with a beard sleeping on the couch in his garage. Report taken.

Disturbance

A report of a disturbance at 4:33 p.m. Sunday at the Saugus Iron Works Museum on Central Street. Caller reported a large group of individuals jumped over the locked gates and were walking around the grounds. Dispersed gathering. 

Motor Vehicles

A report of a motor vehicle accident at 12:46 p.m. Sunday on Hobson Street. Caller reported a hit and run accident with property damage. Report taken; a report at 7:15 p.m. on the Salem Turnpike. Medical assistance refused. 

A report of a motor vehicle leaving the scene of an accident at 2:36 p.m. Sunday on Fairmount Avenue. Caller reported his vehicle was struck sometime overnight. Report taken.  

 

SWAMPSCOTT

Area Checks

Reports of area checks at 9:53 a.m. on Atlantic Avenue, 11:30 a.m. on Forest Avenue, and 1:01 p.m. on Burrill Street.

Breaking and Entering

A report of breaking and entering at 6:19 p.m. Sunday on Blodgett Avenue. The reporting party noted they came home, discovered the front door was open and saw a person on the fourth floor before locking himself in his room.

Fire

A report of a fire at 8:34 p.m. Sunday on Danvers Road.

Hazardous Conditions

A report of hazardous conditions at 10:13 a.m. Sunday on Cherry Street and Spinale Road.

Motor Vehicles

A report of a motor vehicle accident at 2:05 p.m. Sunday on Humphrey Street.

Report of motor vehicle stops at 8:58 a.m. Sunday on Columbia Street and Maple Avenue and 9:35 a.m. on Paradise Road.

Noise

A report of noise at 5:48 a.m. Sunday on Beach Bluff Avenue.

Threats

Reports of threats at 1:54 a.m. Sunday on Huron Street, where the party reported threatening comments on Facebook; 5:52 p.m. on Huron Street.
