LTTE: We support Ward 1 Councilor Dr. Pete Meaney

To the editor

October 22, 2025 by To the editor

To the editor:

We’re writing to share our strong support for the reelection of Dr. Pete Meaney as the Ward 1 Councilor in the City of Lynn.

We’ve seen first thing how quickly and thoughtfully Pete responds when concerns come up in the neighborhood. He listens, takes action, and always follows through — and that kind of responsiveness really matters to the residents that want to be heard by their local government.

Pete also brings an energy and enthusiasm that’s hard to miss. He shows up for his community with a positive attitude and a genuine commitment to make things better. What we admire most about Pete is that he is an independent thinker — someone who looks at every issue with an independent mind and makes decisions based on what’s best for the people he represents, not on politics or outside pressure.

As a fresh, young leader, Pete brings new ideas in a forward looking perspective to City Hall, while respecting Lynn’s history and values. That balance is exactly what our city needs right now.

For all these reasons, we are proud to support Dr. Pete Meaney for reelection as the Ward 1 City Councilor. His integrity, responsiveness, and leadership make him a true asset to Lynn.

Sincerely,

Paul and Mariann DuPont

Ward 1 Residents
