LTTE: Consider Stacey Herman-Dorant for Saugus Selectman

To The Editor

October 24, 2025 by To The Editor

To the editor:
Dear Saugus Voters,
This election season, you have many fine candidates to choose from for town offices. There is one candidate for the Board of Selectmen that I would encourage voters to take a close look at. Her name is Stacey Herman-Dorant. Stacey is a Saugus homeowner and taxpayer.
It is not my intention to suggest that you vote for her because I am, but rather for you to examine her candidacy and consider her for one of your five votes for Saugus Selectman.
I have served with Stacey in Town Meeting and have been impressed with her perfect attendance and voting record. I have also watched her as a member of the Board of Zoning Appeals, where she asks good questions and brings fairness and impartiality to the matters before that board.
Professionally, Stacey has a deep background in higher education leadership. Stacey holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and a Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration and is currently an Assistant Dean at Boston University’s College of Engineering. She has held administrative roles at institutions including The Ohio State.
Her professional experience requires her to work collaboratively, to work with budgets and finance, and to act with ethics and integrity.  I am supporting Stacey because she has high standards and high expectations for Saugus. Please take a moment to examine her candidacy and consider her for one of your 5 votes for Saugus Selectman.
Respectfully,
Peter Manoogian
