PEABODY — Another star-studded night is on tap for Gary Leavitt and Friends on 95.9 WATD. Peabody’s own Gary Leavitt will host an all-star lineup this Wednesday night from 8-9 p.m., featuring legendary singer, actor, producer, and writer Pat Boone — father of Debbie Boone — for an hour of stories and laughs from his remarkable career in entertainment.
Boone will also reflect on his time as owner of the Oakland Oaks basketball team, where he coached players who went on to make their mark both on the court and on the sidelines as coaches.
Among the potential guests joining Boone and Leavitt Wednesday night are basketball greats Rick Barry, George Gervin, David Thompson, Doug Moe, and Larry Brown — a lineup stacked with Hall of Famers.
Listeners can tune in from 8-9 p.m. or stream the show live at 959watd.com.
Leavitt is also preparing to launch a podcast version of his radio show around Thanksgiving, allowing fans to both watch and listen. There are even rumors of a new local studio in the works, where audiences may soon be able to attend live shows and meet guests in person.
