October 28, 2025 by For the Item

LYNN — Residents of Lynn are invited to the 2025 Councilor-at-Large Forum, organized by the New Lynn Coalition, to hear directly from candidates running for Councilor-at-Large. The forum offers an opportunity for the public to ask questions and learn about candidates’ positions on critical issues, including rent control, affordable housing, immigrant rights, and mass deportation.

The event will take place on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Lynn Museum.

Residents are encouraged to attend and participate in shaping the future of Lynn through meaningful dialogue with candidates.

“Lynn residents deserve clear answers on the issues that impact their daily lives. This forum is a chance for candidates to share their plans and for residents to engage directly with them. Our goal is to promote transparency, accountability, and active civic participation,” said Tanveer Malik, executive director of the New Lynn Coalition.

The event is co-hosted with Lynn Music Foundation and supported by community partners including 1199SEIU, DPU, ECCO, Highlands Coalition, IUE-CWA 201, Lynn Health Task Force, Lynn Latino Leadership Coalition, Lynn United for Change, Lynn Worker Center, MSAC, Neighbor to Neighbor, North Shore Juneteenth, North Shore Labor Council, Prevent the Cycle, SEIU Local 509, Latina Center Maria, Community Together, and United Nations CDC Lynn.

For more information, contact Tanveer Malik at [email protected] or (781) 469-8497, or visit newlynn.org.

The New Lynn Coalition is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. It does not endorse or oppose any candidate for public office.
