LYNN — At approximately 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Lynn Police responded to a report of a shooting near Hood Elementary School.
Upon arrival, responding officers located an adult male victim who had been shot in the upper torso, according to Police Chief Chris Reddy. Reddy said the injuries are not believed to be life threatening at this time.
The shooting occurred in the area of Chatham Street and Oakwood Avenue.
Lynn Police do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the community at large.
