SAUGUS — Residents can have the chance to join in on a town-wide art project called The Bridge.
The Cultural Council is the creator of the collaborative project, which will be a way to celebrate “the rich cultural identities and multigenerational stories of the Saugus community.”
The project will include paper squares, which can be picked up at the library and the Senior Center.
The Council is encouraging residents to use any medium they want, including drawing, painting, writing, collage, and more, “to show your cultural or personal identity brings life to Saugus.”
The squares will become part of a large-scale community artwork unveiled at the Saugus Community Festival at the Saugus Middle High School on Saturday, March 21. The festival is a collaboration between the Cultural Council and the Saugus 411 Committee, combining the Cultural Festival and the Saugus 411 event.
The squares are due Friday, Dec. 5. Collection boxes are available at the library and Senior Center.
