Festival of Trees showcases artistic creations

LYNN — The 11th annual Festival of Trees hosted by the Lynn Tech Alumni Association kicked off Sunday at the Lynn Tech Tigers Den.

Community members have donated trees and decorated them with various gifts; and each tree will be raffled off for collection on Nov. 23 from noon-3 p.m. Raffle tickets are $5 for 25, and funds go to the Lynn Tech Alumni Association for scholarship funds, tools, and athletic equipment for students.

This year, two unique trees representing the trade industry will be presented at The Festival of Trees.

Christopher Galatis, council representative and organizer for North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters Local Union 339, and his son Jacob Galatis have put together a tree composed of $500 worth of carpentry tools.

Similarly, David Bryson, secretary of the Lynn Tech Alumni Association, and Diane Bryson created an artistic tree promoting trade careers.

The remainder of the viewing hours for Festival of Trees are as follows:

  • Monday, Nov. 17 from 4-7 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Nov. 18 from 4-7 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 19 from 4-8 p.m.
  • Thursday, Nov. 20 from 4-8 p.m.
  • Friday, Nov. 21 from  4-8 pm
  • Saturday, Nov. 22 from noon-6 p.m.

Admission is $5. The trees will be raffled off for collection on Nov. 23 from noon-3 p.m.
