Continuing November’s recognition of both Veterans Day and World Kindness Day, we are asking for your help in remembering our forgotten soldiers. Boston’s Veterans Hospitals are filled with soldiers proudly wearing their military insignia with nary a visitor. After contacting the hospitals, below is a list of their requested needs. Imagine how wonderful our veterans will feel to be remembered and honored with our donations.
At the end of our driveway, 26 Fairview Road in Lynnfield, we’ve placed a bin where donations can be left. We shall be collecting until Nov. 30. So please know that any gift, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated. THANK YOU!
Items requested:
- Puzzle books — crosswords, sudoku, word search, cards, etc.
- New sweatpants and hoodies for men and women — all sizes
- Boxers/briefs and ladies underwear — all sizes
- Reading glasses
- Toiletries — shampoo, conditioner, body wash, deodorant, nail clippers
- ADA stamped toothpaste and toothbrushes
- Gift cards — Walmart, Market Basket, Shaw’s, or Target
