PEABODY — Bishop Fenwick Student-Athletes of the Month are sophomore field hockey standout Bailey Chalmers and junior cross country star Adelaide Sweatman. A presentation was held at the school to highlight October’s best.

Chalmers, a Salem native, was named a Catholic Central League All-Star and Fenwick’s Defensive Player of the Year. She also received the Massachusetts State Field Hockey Association rising sophomore award.

Sweatman, of Beverly, is also a CCL All-Star, took third place in the Frank Kelley Invitational, and was Fenwick’s top finisher in all dual-meets. She placed sixth at the Division 2 state championship meet, which paced the Lady Crusaders to a second-place finish.

According to the school, student-athlete awards are presented to students who are committed, hard-working, inspiring, and an example for their peers — both academically and athletically.
