SWAMPSCOTT — The First Church in Swampscott Congregational will be hosting its 177th Let It Snow Fair once again across from Town Hall on Saturday, starting at 9 a.m. to start the holiday season off strong.

The fair will feature a silent auction for community members to win a wide range of prizes, including a stay at Boston’s Liberty Hotel, tickets to the Christmas Carol at the North Shore Music Theatre, and a round of golf at Kelley Greens in Nahant.

Event Co-Chair Sharon Thomas shared her joy about the fair returning to town once again.

“I’m excited to welcome everyone back to the Let it Snow Fair for our 177th year. It’s a great opportunity to find amazing bargains, eat, and connect. From the silent auction to our legendary white elephant room, there’s something for everyone,” Thomas said.

Community members will also be able to browse unique and vintage jewelry, pick up mystery boxes with surprise gifts for adults and children, and choose from a wide assortment of books and baked goods.

Fair-goers can also purchase frozen foods and experience the “White Elephant” room, filled with bargain items. Residents can also shop for exciting collectibles and try “Flavors of Thanksgiving,” which can help people prepare for assembling their Thanksgiving meals.

There will also be a cafe open throughout the fair, offering breakfast and lunch, including the North Shore’s “best clam chowder,” according to the press release.

All proceeds from the Let It Snow Fair support the ongoing community outreach efforts for the church.
