When it comes to a baby’s first Christmas, most parents hope to make it joyful and bright. At that age, the child might not remember the moment, but it can still leave a lasting impression when they are older and still have that first gift, or an ornament marking the year of the event.
It’s a milestone not just for a child, but also for a parent who gets to share Christmas joy with the newest member of their family. Stories can be created from these milestones that will forever be told every time the holiday rolls around, bringing warmth during the chilly months and perhaps providing a bright spot in what can be difficult times.
One mother hopes her child wakes up on his first Christmas to gifts.
“I want him to know about Christmas and how important this holiday is for our family,” the mother wrote.
She shared that, as she had just given birth, she is currently unable to work, making the holiday season even more difficult.
With the help of Item Santa, this mother could give her son something under the tree this year and bring some holiday cheer as they celebrate their first-ever Christmas together.
Now in its 59th year, the Item Santa Fund continues to brighten Christmas for local residents who need support the most.
