With millions of Americans stressed about job security and the holidays right around the corner, many parents are struggling to provide a joyful experience for their children.
A survey conducted by Express Employment Professionals-Harris Poll showed that 73% of job seekers agreed that no jobs are secure, no matter how well an employee is performing. The survey reported that Americans are losing a sense of stability.
One mother, who is currently unemployed, is still hoping to give her children a good Christmas.
She hopes that, with the help of Item Santa, her children can wake up to some toys and that she would appreciate any help given.
She, and many others, are experiencing the holidays with money struggles, and despite all of that, her one hope is providing a good day for her children.
Now in its 59th year, the Item Santa Fund continues to brighten Christmas for local residents who need support the most.
