Marblehead seeks proposals for seasonal license at Riverhead Beach

MARBLEHEAD — Marblehead Recreation & Parks Department has announced a call for proposals from qualified vendors interested in operating a seasonal business at Riverhead Beach during the 2026 summer season.

The selected vendor will receive a seasonal license to operate from a designated area of Riverhead Beach on Ocean Avenue. In addition to standard commercial operations, the Town is open to proposals that include Town-partnered recreational programming. The initial license term covers the 2026 season, with the possibility of renewal for up to two additional one-year terms at the Town’s discretion.

Vendors are encouraged to propose services that enhance recreational opportunities at the beach, including but not limited to: Stand-up paddleboard (SUP), kayak, or canoe rentals, Beach equipment rentals, Operation of a small retail kiosk, SUP or kayak clinics, tours, and instructional programs for youth and adults, and Other similar recreational or beach-oriented offerings.

All proposals must be submitted in sealed form and delivered no later than:
