LYNN — A car crashed into Crown Fried Chicken at Chatham Street on Tuesday night, causing severe damage to the front of the building and the vehicle.
Crown Fried Chicken Owner Navid Khan said the incident occurred at approximately 6:15 p.m. He said that there were four customers in the building at the time, but none of them reported any injuries.
Khan said the front of the store has been completely damaged, and it is now replaced with a temporary installation. He estimates that the store will be closed for at least one week, however, he and the staff are “trying (their) best to re-open as soon as possible.”
In the meantime, there is currently a sign posted redirecting potential customers to the Crown Fried Chicken Location on Market Square.
The cause of the crash and the current state of the driver are currently unknown.
