Saugus sings for the arts

January 4, 2026 by Elizabeth Della Piana

SAUGUS — The Theatre Company of Saugus is hitting a different stage to raise money for some of its programs with a Broadway Karaoke Fundraiser.

The event will take place on Jan. 10 at 7 p.m. at the American Legion Hall at 44 Taylor St. All who come are welcome to sing or sit and listen.

Tickets to sing or suggest a song are $3, and there is a $10 suggested donation for non-singer listeners.

All donations will contribute to the continuation of the group’s theatrical productions and help them provide accessible arts education during the summer months. The support will also enhance the local cultural landscape with diverse performances, according to the theatre company.

“The Theatre Company of Saugus is more than just a performing arts organization — we’re a community of like-minded individuals who share a passion for theatre and the arts. By attending our events and supporting our cause, you’ll be part of a vibrant community that values creativity, self-expression, and social connection. This, in turn, will provide opportunities for you to meet new people, make friends, and be part of something meaningful,” the theatre company noted.

There will be snacks, soft drinks, water, and raffles for sale, including tickets to the company’s next production, “The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals.”

For those who cannot attend the event but still want to contribute, you can donate through Venmo to @TheatreCompanyof-Saugus.
