No new virus deaths reported

New coronavirus cases, but no additional deaths were reported in several North Shore communities on Tuesday.
In Lynn, seven new cases were reported to bring the city’s caseload to 3,446. As of Tuesday, 1,692 residents have recovered from the virus and 90 have died, according to city data.
Revere reported six new cases on Tuesday, which is lower than its daily average of 13 new cases. The city has 1,676 cases, which includes 1,285 residents who have recovered and 76 who have died, according to city data.
Lynnfield reported an additional case, which brings the town’s numbers to 93 cases and 11 deaths.
Nahant’s numbers remained the same at 41 cases and six deaths.
Like Lynn City Hall, which started to reopen to employees this week, Revere Mayor Brian M. Arrigo announced a phased return of in-city services, which began with opening to staff only on Monday.
Safety protocols for employees include daily health checks, a combination of in-person and remote work through staggered schedules, and mask requirements for staff members when they are away from their work spaces, according to Arrigo’s office.
This week, staff is focused on preparing departmental operations to allow the public to safely return to City Hall for necessary services, according to Arrigo’s office.
In addition, parking meter fees have gone back in effect. Meter fees and street sweeping enforcement, which resumes on June 15, have been paused due to the coronavirus, according to Arrigo’s office.
At press time, Marblehead, Peabody, Saugus and Swampscott had not released updated numbers.
As of Monday, Marblehead has 224 cases and 30 deaths, Peabody has 939 cases and 113 deaths, Saugus has 520 cases and 30 deaths, and in Swampscott, 123 residents have been infected and eight have died.
