Swampscott reports an additional virus death

An additional death was reported in Swampscott and new coronavirus cases were reported in Lynn and Saugus on Tuesday.
Numbers remained the same or were not updated in several other North Shore communities.
With the additional fatality, nine Swampscott residents have now died from the virus, according to the town website.
Eleven new cases were reported in Lynn to bring the city’s total number of cases to 3,756 — 104 people have died and 3,131 have recovered from the virus, according to city data.
In Saugus, four new cases have been reported since last Thursday to bring the town’s caseload to 561. Thirty-six people have died, according to the town website.
Numbers remained the same in Lynnfield (101 cases, 11 deaths) and Nahant (42 cases, six deaths) on Tuesday and were not updated in Marblehead, Peabody, and Revere by press time.
As of Monday, Marblehead has 239 cases and 30 deaths, Peabody has reported 1,085 cases and 165 deaths and in Revere, 1,877 people have been infected and 88 have died.
