COVID UPDATE: DEATHS REPORTED IN LYNN, PEABODY AND SWAMPSCOTT

Additional coronavirus deaths were reported Monday in Lynn, Peabody and Swampscott.

And new cases were reported in several North Shore communities.

With an additional virus fatality, the COVID-19 death toll in Lynn is now 111. Peabody and Swampscott also reported an additional death to bring their respective death tolls to 174 and 10.

Lynn reported nine new cases on Monday, but has seen a jump of 79 cases since last Friday. The city now has a total of 4,019, but only 568 cases are active as 3,340 people have recovered from the virus, according to city data.

In Peabody, 21 new cases have been reported since last Friday to bring the city’s caseload to 1,151. A total of 874 people have recovered, according to the health department.

With two new cases diagnosed since last Wednesday, Swampscott has reported a total of 145 cases, according to town data.

Lynnfield reported two new cases on Monday to bring the town’s total number of cases to 106. The town’s death toll remained the same at 11.

Four new cases have been reported in Marblehead since last Wednesday. The town has 251 cases and 30 deaths.

In Revere, three new cases were reported, but the death toll remained the same at 93. The city has reported 2,046 cases and 1,678 people have recovered.

Numbers remained the same in Nahant (50 cases, six deaths) and were not updated in Saugus, which has 579 cases and 38 deaths as of last Thursday.
