LYNN CONTINUES COVID-19 CASE SURGE

Lynn continued its coronavirus surge on Wednesday, with 26 new cases reported.
The city now has 4,406 cases, 635 of which are active, 111 people have died, and 3,660 have recovered from the virus, according to city data.
Elsewhere, new cases were also reported in Marblehead, Peabody and Revere on Wednesday.
With four new cases, Marblehead now has 259 cases. The town has reported 30 deaths.
Peabody has reported five new cases since Monday to bring the city’s caseload to 1,203. A total of 175 people have died and 912 have recovered, according to the health department.
Seven new cases were reported in Revere, which has also been experiencing a virus surge in the past several weeks.
Revere now has 2,245 cases, but 2,045 people have recovered. Ninety-four residents have died, according to the city website.
Numbers remained the name in Nahant, which has 50 cases and six deaths, and were not updated in Lynnfield, Saugus or Swampscott.
As of Monday, Lynnfield had 111 cases and 11 deaths. As of Tuesday, Saugus had 628 cases and 39 deaths and Swampscott (146 cases, 10 deaths) has not released updated numbers since last week.
