VIRUS DEATHS REPORTED IN LYNN, PEABODY

Lynn and Peabody each reported an additional death Monday, and new coronavirus cases were also seen in Nahant and Revere.

With the additional fatalities, Lynn and Peabody’s COVID-19 death tolls are now 113 and 176 respectively.

Lynn and Revere both reported a relatively low number of new cases Monday, 10 and seven respectively, but both cities have had more than 40 new cases since last Friday.

With 46 new cases reported over the weekend, Lynn now has 4,483 cases, 683 of which are active. A total of 3,687 people have recovered from the virus, according to city data.

Revere has reported 42 new cases since last Friday to bring the city’s caseload to 2,313. Ninety-four people have died and 2,075 have recovered, according to the city website.

Peabody has reported 11 new cases since last Friday to bring the city’s caseload to 1,226. A total of 916 people have recovered from the virus, according to the health department.

Two new cases were reported Monday in Nahant. The town now has 52 cases and six people have died.

Lynnfield (109 cases, 11 deaths) reported no change in its numbers and data was not updated in Marblehead, Saugus or Swampscott.

As of last Thursday, Swampscott had 153 cases and 10 deaths. Marblehead (261 cases, 30 deaths) and Saugus (626 cases, 39 deaths) have not released updated numbers since last Wednesday.
