PEABODY REPORTS TWO MORE VIRUS DEATHS

A new coronavirus case and two additional deaths were reported Monday in Peabody.

New cases, but no additional deaths, were also reported in Lynn, Lynnfield, Marblehead and Revere.

With the increases, Peabody now has 1,241 cases and its death toll is 179, according to the health department.

Four new cases were reported Monday in both Lynn and Lynnfield to bring their respective caseloads to 4,554 and 114.

Lynnfield’s total number of cases matches how many residents have died from the virus in Lynn. The city’s death toll remained the same at 114.

In Lynn, 597 cases are active and 3,843 people have recovered from the virus, according to city data.

Eleven Lynnfield residents have died.

Revere reported 10 new cases to bring the city’s total number of cases to 2,400. Ninety-six people have died and 2,162 have recovered, according to the city website.

An additional case was also reported in Marblehead on Monday. The town now has 263 cases and 30 deaths.

Numbers remained the same in Nahant (52 cases, six deaths) and were not updated in Saugus or Swampscott.

As of Friday, Saugus had 643 cases and 40 deaths, and Swampscott (157 cases, 10 deaths) has not provided updated numbers since last Wednesday.
