REVERE REPORTS 100TH VIRUS DEATH

Revere reached a grim milestone on Thursday, as the city’s COVID-19 death toll climbed to 100.
An additional death and six new cases were reported on Thursday. The city’s caseload is now 2,587.
New cases were also reported in Lynn, Peabody, Saugus and Swampscott.
Lynn reported 10 new cases to bring the city’s caseload to 4,786. Of that total, 563 cases are active, 117 people have died and 4,106 have recovered, according to city data.
In Peabody, three new cases were reported to bring the city’s total numbers to 1,262 cases and 182 deaths, according to the health department.
Five new cases were reported in Saugus. The town now has 690 cases and 41 residents have died.
In Swampscott, three new cases were reported to bring the town’s caseload to 165. Eleven residents have died.
Numbers remained the same in Lynnfield (131 cases, 11 deaths), Marblehead (266 cases, 30 deaths) and Nahant (52 cases, six deaths).
