LYNN REPORTS AN ADDITIONAL COVID-19 DEATH

Lynn reported an additional death and two new coronavirus cases on Friday, and new cases were also reported in Lynnfield, Peabody and Revere.

With the changes, Lynn now has 4,907 cases and its death toll rises to 118. A total of 524 cases remain active and 4,265 people have recovered from the virus, according to city data.

Two new cases were reported in Lynnfield to bring the town’s caseload to 137. Fourteen people have died, according to the town website.

Peabody reported nine new cases, but no additional deaths on Friday. The city now has 1,288 cases and 183 deaths, according to the health department.

In Revere, 14 new cases were reported to bring the city’s caseload to 2,674. The city’s death toll remained the same at 103, according to the city website.

Numbers remained the same in Nahant (52 cases, six deaths) and were not updated in Marblehead, Saugus or Swampscott by press time.

As of Thursday, Swampscott had 168 cases and 11 deaths. Marblehead (269 cases, 30 deaths) and Saugus (702 cases, 41 deaths) have not released updated numbers since Wednesday.
