Lynn reports 53 new virus cases
Lynn reported another spike on Tuesday, with 53 new coronavirus cases reported in a 24-hour period.
New cases were also reported in Revere and Saugus.
Lynn has now reported 5,827 cases and 123 deaths. A total of 601 cases remain active and 5,103 people have recovered from the virus, according to city data.
Fourteen new cases were reported in Revere to bring the city’s total numbers to 3,418 cases and 109 deaths, according to the city website.
In Saugus, 39 new cases and an additional death have been reported since last Thursday. The town now has 904 cases and 44 people have died, according to the town website.
Numbers remained the same in Lynnfield (183 cases, 14 deaths) and Nahant (67 cases, six deaths), and were not updated in Marblehead, Peabody or Swampscott on Tuesday.
As of Monday, Peabody had 1,526 cases and 190 deaths and Swampscott had 193 cases and 11 deaths. Marblehead (299 cases, 30 deaths) has not provided updated numbers since last Thursday.
