VIRUS CASES SPIKE IN LYNN, REVERE

Lynn and Revere reported another double-digit spike in coronavirus cases on Tuesday.
New cases were also reported in Lynnfield.
In Lynn, 67 new cases were reported to bring the city’s caseload to 7,704. Of that total, 1,266 cases are active, 134 people have died, and 6,304 have recovered from the virus, according to city data.
Revere reported 48 new cases to bring the city’s total numbers to 4,476 cases and 112 deaths, according to the city website.
Five new cases were reported in Lynnfield, which now has 299 cases and 15 deaths, according to the town website.
Numbers remained the same in Nahant (96 cases, six deaths) and were not updated in Marblehead, Peabody, Saugus or Swampscott on Tuesday.
As of Monday, Peabody had 2,284 cases and 209 deaths. Marblehead (390 cases, 30 deaths), Saugus (1,195 cases, 45 deaths) and Swampscott (262 cases, 11 deaths) have not provided updated numbers since last Friday.
