LYNN REPORTS 138 NEW VIRUS CASES

Lynn reported another significant coronavirus spike on Tuesday, with 138 new cases reported in a 24-hour period.
New cases were also reported in Nahant, Revere and Saugus.
With Tuesday’s spike, Lynn now has 8,623 cases, 1,612 of which are active, 136 people have died, and 6,875 have recovered from the virus, according to city data.
In Revere, 37 new cases were reported to bring the city’s total numbers to 5,030 cases and 119 deaths, according to the city website.
Saugus has reported 130 new cases since last Friday, which brings the town’s caseload to 1,555. Forty-six people have died, according to the town website.
An additional case was reported in Nahant, which has 106 cases and six deaths, according to the town website.
Numbers remained the same in Lynnfield (393 cases, 15 deaths) and were not updated in Marblehead, Peabody or Swampscott.
As of Monday, Peabody had 2,741 cases and 212 deaths and Swampscott had 346 cases and 11 deaths. Marblehead (441 cases, 31 deaths) has not provided updated numbers since last Friday.
