VIRUS CASES MOUNT IN LYNN, DEATHS REPORTED IN PEABODY AND REVERE

Coronavirus cases continued to mount Monday in Lynn, and new cases were also reported in Nahant, Peabody, Revere and Swampscott.

In Lynn, 136 new cases were reported to bring the city’s caseload to 12,759, according to city data.

There are 2,035 cases active in Lynn, 166 people have died, and 10,558 have recovered from the virus, according to city data.

Peabody has reported 142 cases and three additional deaths since last Friday, which brings the city’s caseload to 4,818 and its death toll to 243. A total of 3,508 people have recovered, according to the health department.

Revere reported 46 new cases and two additional deaths to bring the city’s total numbers to 7,807 cases and 129 deaths, according to the city website.

In Swampscott, 48 new cases have been reported since last Thursday, which brings the town’s caseload to 730. Thirteen people have died, according to the town website.

Fifteen new cases were reported in Nahant, which now has 173 cases and six people have died, according to the town website.

Numbers remained the same Monday in Lynnfield (739 cases, 20 deaths) and were not updated in Marblehead, or Saugus.

As of last Friday, Marblehead had reported 789 cases and 31 deaths, and Saugus had 3,010 cases and 61 deaths.
