NEW VIRUS CASES, DEATHS REPORTED ACROSS NORTH SHORE

New coronavirus cases and additional deaths were reported across the North Shore on Thursday.

In Lynn, 82 new cases were reported to bring the city’s caseload to 14,322. Of that total, 1,689 cases are active, 177 people have died, and 12,456 have recovered from the virus, according to city data.

Revere reported 54 new cases and four additional deaths to bring the city’s total numbers to 8,794 cases and 141 deaths, according to the city website.

In Peabody, 78 new cases and two additional deaths have been reported since Monday. The city now has 5,587 cases, 266 people have died, and 4,413 have recovered, the health department reported.

Saugus reported 51 new cases and an additional death, which brings the town’s caseload to 3,213 and its death toll to 60, according to the town website.

Forty-six new cases and an additional death have been reported in Salem since Tuesday, which now has 3,672 cases and 65 deaths, the city website said.

In Swampscott, eight new cases and three additional deaths have been reported since Monday, which brings the town’s totals to 840 cases and 16 deaths, according to the town website.

Lynnfield (898 cases, 27 deaths) and Nahant (211 cases, six deaths) each reported five new cases, and numbers were not updated in Marblehead, which had 919 cases and 31 deaths as of last Friday.
