LYNN, PEABODY, SALEM AND SAUGUS REPORT NEW VIRUS CASES, DEATHS

Additional coronavirus cases and deaths were reported Monday in Lynn, Peabody, Salem and Saugus.

New cases were also reported in Lynnfield, Nahant, Revere and Swampscott.

In Lynn, 12 new cases and two additional deaths were reported to bring the city’s caseload to 15,593 and its death toll to 195. A total of 325 cases are active and 15,073 people have recovered from the virus, according to city data.

Peabody has reported 45 new cases and three additional deaths since last Friday. The city now 6,237 cases, 294 people have died, and 5,493 have recovered, according to the health department.

Seventeen new cases and two additional deaths have been reported in Salem since last Friday. The city’s caseload is 4,082 and 74 people have died, the city website reported.

In Saugus, 48 new cases and an additional death have been reported since last Thursday to bring the town’s total numbers to 3,549 cases and 65 deaths, according to the town website.

Lynnfield (1,018 cases, 29 deaths) has reported seven new cases since last Friday, Nahant (223 cases, six deaths) reported an additional case, Revere (9,599 cases, 149 deaths) reported 19 new cases, and Swampscott (947 cases, 19 deaths) has reported five new cases since last Thursday.

Numbers were not updated in Marblehead, which had 1,169 cases and 31 deaths as of last Friday.
