NEW VIRUS CASES REPORTED IN LYNN, LYNNFIELD, REVERE, AND SALEM

Lynn, Lynnfield, Revere and Salem reported new coronavirus cases on Tuesday, but numbers remained largely unchanged in other North Shore communities.
Two additional deaths were also reported in Revere, which brings the city’s death toll to 159. The city reported nine new cases to bring its total number of cases to 9,862.
In Lynn, 25 new cases were reported to bring the city’s caseload to 15,948. Of that total, 297 cases are active, 199 people have died, and 15,452 have recovered from the virus, according to city data.
Lynnfield (1,072 cases, 29 deaths) reported two new cases, Salem (4,210 cases, 77 deaths) reported six new cases, Nahant (232 cases, six deaths) reported no change in its statistics, and numbers were not updated in Marblehead, Peabody, Saugus or Swampscott.
Peabody had 6,410 cases and 301 deaths as of Monday, Marblehead had 1,195 cases and 31 deaths as of last Friday, and numbers have not been updated in Saugus (3,626 cases, 66 deaths) or Swampscott (965 cases, 19 deaths) since last Thursday.
