LYNN — It’s been quite a two-month stretch for Lynn Tech’s varsity volleyball team (16-3), which swept KIPP Academy (25-22, 25-21, 25-10) Friday evening to wrap up the regular season.

Zahara Belizaire had 15 assists, three digs, three kills, and a pair of aces to lead the Tigers on Senior Night. Also contributing were Lia Morales (6 digs, 5 kills, 3 aces), Mahlyna Williams (8 digs), Angelica Santini (7 digs), Kaylee Deschamps (4 kills), Keila McGregor (3 kills), and Kayla Rivera (4 digs, 3 aces).

“Great win for the seniors,” said three-sport Tech coach Kaitlyn Wechsler, who was recently inducted into the Lesley University Athletics Hall of Fame in Cambridge. “I’m so proud of this team and especially happy for our 10 seniors. What a way to end their careers at home in front of a huge crowd of supporters. Now, we look to take this momentum into the playoffs next week.”

The Tigers won 16 matches (13 without conceding a set), finished the regular season with five consecutive wins, and ranked 13th in the MIAA’s latest Division 4 power rankings.

Tech’s only losses were against Lynn Classical, St. Mary’s, and the Academy of Notre Dame – two of which came down to the final set.
