October 31, 2025 by Joey Barrett

Two struggling high school football teams collided in South Hamilton for Cape Ann League action Friday night. In the end, Lynnfield (2-6) made it a happy Halloween with a 35-14 victory against Hamilton-Wenham (1-7).

Despite the Generals scoring both of their touchdowns in the fourth quarter, they weren’t enough to mount a comeback against the Pioneers, who built a 28-0 cushion after three.

A highlight of the game was when Lynnfield’s Lucas Deraps recovered a fumble and raced 45 yards to the house.

Marblehead’s Breydan Callahan scored a rushing touchdown to tie the game during the first quarter. Danvers held a 14-7 lead after three quarters before scoring again in the fourth.
