November 2, 2025 by Joey Barrett

KIPP’s football team had it rolling against Lowell Catholic Saturday evening. In enemy territory, the Panthers dominated and left with a 41-6 win.

The one-two punch of Elai Machado (5 carries, 112 yards rushing, 3 TDs) and Aavian Peña (7 carries, 116 yards rushing, TD) led the charge, while Euriel Feliz did a little bit of everything for KIPP. He caught a 20-yard touchdown pass and returned a fumble for another touchdown.

The Panthers finished the regular season with a 3-5 record, while Lowell Catholic dipped to 1-7.

FOOTBALL

Nashoba Valley Tech 43
Lynn Tech 20

After Friday’s showdown was cut short due to field lights going out, Lynn Tech hit the road again as Saturday’s game continued in the second quarter. Despite strong performances from Jadiel Ortega (147 yards rushing, TD) and Jacob Garcia (2 TDs), the Tigers (4-3) had no answer for Nashoba’s offense.

“We fought hard and I’m proud of my kids,” said Lynn Tech coach James Runner, whose team trailed, 16-8, at halftime.

Bishop Fenwick 34
Arlington Catholic 6

Fenwick (4-4) won Saturday’s matinee in style after jumping ahead, 20-0. The visiting Crusaders rolled over Arlington Catholic behind stellar performances from Andrew Kiricopoles (10-for-15, 192 yards passing, 3 total TDs), Dylan Patturelli (14 carries, 142 yards rushing, 2 TDs), and Andrew Dube (6 catches, 108 yards).

St. John’s Prep 43
Catholic Memorial 28

Call it a perfect regular season for St. John’s Prep (8-0), which took down Catholic Memorial in a battle of powerhouses at Glatz Field. After trailing, 8-0, the Eagles flipped the switch as coach Brian St. Pierre collected his 100th career win. Prep quarterback Chris Vargas completed 20 passes and tossed four touchdowns.

“A great day for the Pioneers,” said Lynnfield coach Kerri Doherty, who also credited goalie Bridget McGee, Nola Maney, Allison Sweeney, Chloe Bergeron, and Hayden Valiton for strong performances. “We executed our gameplan effectively.”
